Countdown to Ducklings! [a Journal]

Pics
That is a great idea! Thank you! =)

Since they are almost 2 weeks old, are they old enough for a bath?

Crackers had some poop on his chest (I have no idea how..) in the last picture my "duck sitter" sent me!
They can have a bath, just keep an eye on them and not too deep of water. Don't let them sit in it too long and towel dry or return to clean brooder with heat lamp.

I let mine take a bath before two weeks, so I'd say you're good. The water i put them in was warm, and they loved it! Even if it wasn't quite deep enough to swim in, they liked to just splash around.

Is this good?

Can they climb inside? If so might want to make the hole just large enough for thei heads and enlarge as they grow
They can not, it's bigger than their heads but smaller than their bodies (I didn't want to risk them catching a sharp edge).

Also, we just had our first bath time! Pictures to follow!! :) Crackers was quite the swimmer, Quackers was having *nothing* to do with it haha

Pic spam time! Our first bath! :love

So I changed how their pen is done... Hopefully that helps cut down on the mess!

I changed my shavings out SO MUCH. I had a crash course in duck ownership. This is the hard part (brooder). When they finally go outside.. it is much much easier. Mine free range on about an acre of land. The smaller the area, the messier they are. I had them in a run at first. Now they are free during the day. Only 3 BTW
