I'm so sorry to hear thatThose blue eggs are very pretty. Sadly a second chick died today, there is one that looks a little out of it, I. Noticed her right away ...she is eating and drinking no pasty butt...just moving slower than the rest. I did individual pictures....I'm just kinda bummed ...
that looks out of ityeah 1 more
my welsummers look like this bottom pic the one in the top pic looks alittle darker
Dont forget they are all newborn babies and will sleep lots. Plus not every breed reacts, grows, responds the same. I would just watch and see how it does in teh next few days.
Oh no poor chickies. I hope they pull thru for you. My little ones have loved hard boiled and scrambled egg. Today they got mashed sweet potato and loved it all good sources of natural goodies. Keep us updated.I received my shipment from the hatchery today also. 6 Salmon Faverolles and 2 Light Brown Leghorns. Two of the Faverolles were dead in the box when I picked them up this morning, and two more were too weak to stand. I have given them sugar water throughout the day, and managed to get a little egg yolk and yogurt into them this afternoon. They seem a little stronger, and are able to stand and walk around a bit. The Leghorns and the remaining two Faverolles are eating, drinking and active. Hoping the weak ones pull through since they have made it through the day. Such cute little yellow fuzzballs!
