I have a question that is a little less about chickens and more about the impact the chickens will have. I have a site planned for my chicken run and coup that is perfect in every other way but could be a problem where my well is concerned. My pump is about fifteen feet to the east and slightly north of where I plan to place my coup. The run will be north of the coup and my entire property runs on a slight decline, getting higher as you go north. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the chicken manure might taint the well. I could post photos etc but just wondering. Any help would be appreciated.

I misspoke. the property gets lower as you go north, so runoff, at least will wash away from well

I would say you are fine. The only way that it might be a problem would be if it was a swallow dug hand well, which believe it or not some people still have, though rarely.
