Ok Im going with this plan.

1) Im curious how do you attach the nest box to the coop?
2) The run under the coop has wire, should I replace it with plywood? I read somewhere that you should have at least two sides that are solid. So if a raccoon or other animal were to try and get to them the chickens have a place to run and hide without being grabbed.
3) Do you see any potential problems with this coop?

If they had constant access to a totally secure run, you might squeeze in four, but I wouldn't push it. You only have about four square feet of floor space in there, which is really not enough for three banties, nevermind four.

Ok what about this? Would four banties fit? Im thinking this is exactly how I want it to look, with the run and all. Im just trying to figure out how to attact the coop to the run. Plus it being strong enough to hold the coop without breaking?

Who all has nest boxes that are outside of the coop? What are some pros and cons?

Having the nestboxes on the outside frees up internal coop space and also allows you to access eggs without having to get into the coop.

Problems with them is that if they aren't built properly, it allows leaks (when it rains) into the coop and depending on the design, it can be hard to clean.

my thoughts,
ozzie:)
