Cousins Island Maine backyard chicken coop

Hello-
We have had chickens for almost 3 years now. We've had three different batches...2 started as chicks. We currently have 6 hens. Just lost one to a fox the other day. We're hoping to get my daughter a silkie for Christmas. I know it's not the right time of year but if anyone knows of any silkies in the proximity of southern Maine, please let me know! We are will to drive a couple of hours.
