    I LOVE this recipe! Hope you all enjoy it!


    2 1/2 cups sifted flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 cups brown sugar
    2/3 cup butter
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 cup sour cream
    2 well-beaten eggs
    cinnamon
    Directions:


    1
    Combine flour, sugar, salt& shortening- mix until crumbly.

    Reserve 1/2 cup of crumbs.

    To remaining crumbs add baking powder, soda& spices- mix thoroughly.

    Add sour cream & eggs- mix well.

    Pour into the greased baking pan.

    Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.

    Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.

    I wonder why it's called Cowboy coffee cake. There is no coffee in it, nor is there any hot peppers called for! lol! [​IMG]
    Just kidding, it sounds good, a lot like the one I make.

    Well, I baked it & tasted it! Mmmm. The sour cream made it moist & the nutmeg & cinnamon gave it a spicy taste. Thanks for a great recipe[​IMG]. I also took your survey[​IMG]
