I know it's normal to lose some chickens to coyotes, but the only ones I lost were buff orps! Do these coyotes have a thing against orps?! Can I just not get them anymore? Because they're my favorite kind!

I guess that does make sense especially since they all free range.Probably being docile and slow, they are the easiest to catch. When the buffs are gone, they will move on to something harder......but will still catch them.
My daughter has a buff and it is still alive going on two years at a site that infested with predators. Coons, coyotes, foxes, etc. But it is in a tight coop predators can't get in.
