With all of the tree huggers and yuppies moving in around here I'm constantly hearing about someone's cat disappearing. I think we should start a campaign to convince them that cats are a coyote's fourth favorite meal, right after small children, young women, and girly men. Maybe it would slow down urban sprawl.

They're thicker than flies at our farm. So far, I find them fascinating and love getting them to howl back when we howl at them.

But...but!!! We don't have any of our poultry or rabbits yet. Something tells me they will fall from grace in our eyes when that happens.

I have never feared them.

I've watched coyotes sitting 20 yards away from my coop watching the chickens. I'm glad that I have buried fencing and a hot wire around my runs. Now that the weather is starting to get colder and the fur is looking better I'm going to break them of that coming around here habit.
