Went out a couple miles down the road at sundown to practice my calling on some WPA land. Got one to take a bit too long a look at me from the top of a muskrat house about 200 yards out. Man that 120 Vmax makes a mess out of my .280. Good thing it had mange pretty bad, would have felt bad about destroying that pelt otherwise. Guess I've got an excuse to buid a new rifle now. Local shop has an old Rem 722 .300 sav on the rack. Barrel is shot out, would make a nice yote smoker with a new .22-250 or 6mm Rem barrel on it.
