cracked corn?

Was wondering if some "all grain" feed mixed with chicken feed would be good? TS also has double rolled oats any ideas? I want to get away with using scratch grains & layer. But still wanted to add something extra to the layer feed.

Another thing I noticed from fat chickens is that when you grab them, they are kind of "squishy". My lean chickens, all of them now, when you pick them up they feel "stringy" or "muscly". This is all under their feathers so you have to ingnore the walking feather pillow part.
