Cracked duck egg on day 25

Alright so I am new to the hatching process. I tried hatching duck eggs under a broody hen and everything was going well until today... I noticed that two eggs were out from under her and I tried to put them back under her, only to notice that they had cracks. They were bot from the ducks pipping out either. It appears that she stepped on them. The membrane on the one looked like it was torn sadly but the other eggs membrane was fine. Also I noticed that the eggs were a bit cool. Is there a possibility that they could still hatch or not? Also they are suppose to be grey call ducks

Did you candle and see movement? If so, there is always a possibility. Do you have an incubator to put them in?

I actually didn't candle them (dumb move) but I do not have an incubator. The reason I put them under a hen was due to a few of my friends telling me how it was hard to keep the right humidity was vert hard, would it be too late to put them in one?

Is the hen still sitting on other eggs? They say a hen can sense a bad egg and will kick them out, but if I were you I would candle them first. If there is movement and you have a way to get an incubator, you could try putting them back with her or under a heat lamp while you get the incubator and get it ready. Its not the greatest situation for them, but I'm being optimistic. Chances could be slim for them, its all on what you are willing to try I guess.

Oh just had a thought, most call ducks hatch around day 26, so its likely too late for them, but candle them anyway!

OK, first I won't panick, second, your hatching the toughest eggs there is, SO with all that in mind, I would make a hole where the nest is, an place the eggs on the bottom. If Momma is still sitting this will work, if not, you have to get a bator. You need for her to basically sit on those eggs, without her applying all her weight on those eggs. However, You need to be right there on Hatching day.

Calls take 26 days and apparently they do need some assistance. With the right mommy, she will assist. I have seen my call duck mommy Literally Eating off the shell to help her babies out. SO if she's not a call, she is NOT going to know to do this and that's where you come in.

And Let your friends know, Humidity isn't the Issue when it comes to a call, Its the Call that is the issue, they have small beaks and small necks that at times it's very hard for them to get out of that shell. They give up before finishing..
