Do you have any sav a chick electrolyt packets on hand?Baby #2 has a bit of labored breathing. #1 jumped out of the egg running so I don't really "like" that. It took a lot longer for it to hatch so maybe it's just really tired at only a couple hours old. If I talk to them they move immediately. Baby #1 acts like it wants me! It's the cutest thing.

They might. TSC does. You can try some sugar water when you move them to the brooder. Those two things are recommended for less active or stressed out chicks. I use the sav a chick electrolyte for the first couple days after hatch. One packet makes a gallon.I do not. Could I get those at a local feed store?

If you have a computer or mobile device (near the incubator) you can play a video of chicks peeping and see if that perks him up any.Got it! Yay! They had the combo pack with the probiotics too. Should I talk to him to encourage him to move around a bit?
