Cracked eggs in incubator?

OUCH!! I to had a cracked Chuckar a few weeks back it had not leaked .So I put a few drops of candle wax on it .It hatched and is running around my brooder with the rest..cva34

I use wax it's better then tape or first aid tape or anything I have tried before..

I just recently tried duct tape on Two different eggs, it did NOT work for me. My next mission is to try the Liquid bandaid.. if that doesn't work then we are going back to square ONE, CANDLE WAX. I know that works and works very well

I have had two cracked egg experiences. The first I accidentally dropped an egg early on( day five ) while candling . After panicking and crying I grabbed the first thing of tape I could find. It worked! The little guy hatched with a little bit of help....he peep out at the taped point but he is hooping up in the outside brooder with 30 other chicks right now.

And just a few minutes ago...the second little miracle hatched out. Same scenario, cracked while candling earlier on, but the crack was too big to tape. So since the membrane was intact I chanced it and put it the small incubator. I guess. I sound like a clutz. But I just seem to keep getting nervous around expensive eggs.

I did this to my egg. . After I finished rotating and candling. . I dropped a thermometer on top of this silkie egg.. I used glue.. but the candle wax sounds good. .. I need to do that too my egg. .

OUCH, and it's right at the air cell so that's actually a good spot to crack it, if it's anywhere's else, it might have leaked out of course then it would be a lost cause.

Did the membrane break?
