Craigslist ad- Should I get this rooster?

I talked to him he said I could have him for $10 since im not planning on re-selling/killing him

To be honest with you, he's not that great of a breeding specimen. If you want him just for a pet, I don't see a problem. I personally wouldn't pay more than $5 for him.

You would certainly be able to find one cheaper but if there is something you like about this guy I say go for it. As long as you are happy, it would be a $10 well spent.

What do you want to do with the rooster? A flock protector for your hens? Hatch chicks?


I think $10.00 for the splash is too much. I cannot say on the orange since there is no picture of him.

I found another roo on craigslist for 10 dollors and I guess its a banty with orange feather feet and is clean and friendly, The guy said he will send a pic soon, so ill post it once I get it
