Are we sure it isn't a Grand Champion of the variety we shouldn't talk about? It's definitely not a looker from that picture.

He has a comb so no its not that kind of champion. I'm almost sure they are referring to his weight.
The naked belly is telltale.

I'm sorry, but you guys MUST be joking.
That is a broiler bird, plain and simple. Look at the large breast, that is a quality NOT looked for in champions of that area. The bird is obviously young. Broilers are bred to have sparse feathering. Seeing as how they grow so fast, they lay down...ALOT. The feathers on the underbelly are broken off very easily, especially if the bird is sitting on ammonia-soaked litter.

Dirty litter makes the underside bright red. It's an irritant. But glad you saw the bird for what it is!
I do wonder if it won in a local fair, or it could even be a breeder bird...which would be worth ALOT of money, especially if it's from the GGP stock.

All I see is what looks like a over grown broiler chicken. I don't see anything wrong going on?
