Dirty litter makes the underside bright red. It's an irritant. But glad you saw the bird for what it is!

I do wonder if it won in a local fair, or it could even be a breeder bird...which would be worth ALOT of money, especially if it's from the GGP stock.

My Maude looks pretty healthy, doesn't she?

Her belly is pretty bare, but it's pink, not bright red. She is a funny, funny chicken... nobody dares to mess with Maude when she is eating!
