Craigslist concern?

I had some replies with the usual "you still got these?"

After I replied as to what I had- I started getting spam emails from the same email address for viagra.

I don't mean to sound like a bigot or anything- but when I first read how they responded to the OP I thought they were asian looking for ducks to eat. I've spent a lot of time shopping in the asian markets, and the hanging ducks always freaked me out.

The ducks are doing good. The blue hen is actually sitting on a nest. The khaki drake I had to get rid of though, he kept attacking my little grey silkie and wouldn't let him come in at night.

Since I started doing this I don't have any spam emails and if someone is serious about the ad they don't hesitate to email me their phone number. It is also a way to screen people. I can hear how they sound and see what types of questions they ask. It also cuts down on the number of children that respond (probably without their parent's knowledge).

That is a good idea. That person never wrote back after I said that we don't allow visitors to the house. Where I live we don't have neighbors and I live 900 ft off of the road and you cannot see the house from the road so I hate for people to come here. You never know what people are capable of... My husband thinks I am syupid the few times that we did have people come here to pick up birds and I wanted him home with me when they did.

When you go to meet them, be sure you leave someone at home, to watch your place. Just like funerals, you leave one person, at home, because the whole world has access to a newspaper that says when you will be at the funeral. And not at home.

That actually happened to a person I worked with. Her son-in-law passed and while she was at the funeral she got robbed. People are such jerks!

I've bought and sold many times over Craigslist. We always meet somewhere public - - parking lot of burger king, gas station, etc.
I also make sure I have their phone number along with the email .

I also try to have Dh with me.

It is just not safe or smart to do it any other way !

Not sure if this was said, but ALWAYS have somebody with you wether somebody is comming to pick something up or your going to pick something up.
