Can anyone verify that an ad on EBay this past month was not stolen from A Marans Club website? It is the photo of the dark dark eggs on the Roman style columns? I asked the guy if those were HIS eggs and he again verified that yes indeed, they were from his actual hens. In searching for this memorable photo, I could not locate it again but it is very familiar. I suppose he could of supplied the photo to that particular club, but I keep thinking it was a French club, not American.

Well the 206 437 2252 with the stolen photo has been cut, the one without a pic is still up, and no new ones with that number are up... yet. Prolly check periodically JIC though.

Whether or not to watermark could be a setting, and should only apply to those images uploaded in your BYC uploads area, not photos linked to elsewhere on the internet. For example, if you have photos on your own website or on photobucket or one of the other websites that allow you to keep photos, there would be no watermark applied b y BYC, but if you have uploaded them to your BYC space, you could select to watermark or not, and what the watermark should be. Default should probably be "Copyright date by Backyard Chickens user: user name," or something similar.

I've reported this image to Ebay several times, but they have done nothing about it. The seller omits that it is not a picture of their actual birds and got snippy that I asked about it.
