I now have to feed my livestock guardian dogs in the dark.....after the cranes have went to bed. They have learned how to spread their wings and rush one of the dogs until he leaves his food, then they gobble it up before the swans try and steal some. They know the dogs won't hurt them and even if I throw some dog food to them, they still want to eat it out of the bowl..... Crazy birds.
I can't use the auto feeders because it becomes a turkey, emu and swan free for all...... I even had a roo get his head stuck in it....... Lol

well i would fence them off this is really the best thing to do is that fence the top and sides to make sure they are safe and cannot fly over it or put the dogs up somewhere else hope i helped

p.s answer me back i will always have time to answer

They are livestock guardian dogs... So it is their job to guard them, and they have grown up together with my cranes. We are now feeding the dogs in another fenced in area that the cranes can only watch and not harass the dogs as well as the emu and swans. :D

Good idea That works too
