You don't need additional heat but I do install a heat lamp so that I am ready for those -30F weeks.
A great boredom buster is to save plastic water bottles, drill some holes in the side and fill the bottle with chicken feed or scratch. The chickens will roll it around to get the food.

Bordem buster- I like to give our girls different scraps I keep them busy (cucumbers, blueberries, watermelon). I also rake up grass clippings and throw those in the run. Even though they have some grass left in the run they love to scratch through it and get all the little bugs hiding in there. Also give them a place to dust bathe, they are so funny when they do that!
