Crawling 3 month old chick. Out of nowhere one of my chicks isn’t walking well, she’s walking low to the ground. She mostly wants to lay down

The only thing I can think of is that I had to remove the sod in a designated area which left a bed of organic soil underneath for them to lay on. The rest of the coup and run is a sand-like soil.

What do you feed including treats and supplements? Was she vaccinated against Marek's? Where in the world are you? Have you felt her legs and feet for any swelling or heat that might indicate unseen injury? Consider posting photos or a video.

@Tonyroo That;s an interesting scenario you describe.. having raised probably 1000 birds I've YET to see it.. maybe soil type matters.

I have a combo of sand, rock, and silt dirt. When they shake there body there's flying rocks and dirt.

If you had a professional install the sod before the underlayment would be topsoil. If not then it would be the natural regional soil for your area. I wouldn't call it organic.
