Today at the school the kids were talking about turkens, I almost cried.

J/K I hope they all hatch for you. Post pictures, I'll live vicariously through them!

Roo is a buff/creme complete naked neck, good feathering
Hens are buff or red complete naked neck except for 1 hen that has a small bowtie.
Great dual purpose bird, good in extreme heat or cold. Excellent layers of brown eggs.

offer #2 same as #1

I was really surprised at the size of the turken eggs. And they are various shades of brown. Very pretty.

Can I ask, what is a bowtie on a NN?

And mamwolf....does the roo not have any fluff on his head? Thats strange looking.

NN are the ugliest chickens Ive ever seen!

But after I won the eggs, I got 2 chicks at the feedstore. They sure are calm and sweet. And goodness knows, their less feathers will do well here as flippin' hot as it gets!

a bowtie is a patch of feathers on the curve of the neck, where our adam's apple would be. These are desirable for Showgirls (silkie x turken).

If breeding a silkie and turken, do the chicks always have silkie feathers, or do you have to cull and breed for silkie feathers?

And is the naked neck trait always dominant?
