The BCM are sort of FBCM. I have a small flock of 5: 2 roos and 3 hens. 1 of the roos is FBCM, the other is clean-legged. 2 of the hens are FBCM and the other is clean-legged. I hatch equal numbers of clean and feather-legged but lately it has been more feather legged chicks than clean.

I have the 2 roos because:

I like the clean legged's personality, size, and type (other than the legs); and the feather-legged carries wheaten and is a big fat jerk

Plus I'm not good at 'culling' and since these are Black coppers I don't want to give them away....I'm a softie

I have this 5 year old that wants to show chickens. Every time we go to a show I miss out on every single bird I've tried to buy. I've bought raffle tickets, hunted down sellers. NUTTIN HONEY!

Someone put some up I can afford. Think of this poor thing sitting here with sad eyes and I hear "so someone else got the eggs for my birds grandma?"

I don't care what color they are but they have to be these strange little prehistoric birds. Actuaaly though I had some in the bator then remembered I got out bid on those too.

Why those little strange birds? Why not fluffy love birds like silkies?
