Hey I hate ya didnt get any serama to hatch I haven't had good luck with them incubating but have had great hatches under broodies with shipped eggs. The Frizz pen had smooth hens with a frizz roo, the hens were black mottled (which explains the mottled chick) and one white hen with a White frizz roo (which explains the yellow chick) I've got some of the cin reds in the incubator now but I can't remember to save me what they looked like as chicks. I can't remember off the top of my head what all I sent you, I've gotta find my record book in a few, gotta ship some out. I'll look and see what all I sent.

Ok, that would be great. So, if I read what you wrote right then both the Mottled chick AND the White chick that hatched carry the frizzle gene?

If they don't have frizzled feathers they want carry the gene.

since there are 2 auctions of blr wyandottes, you need to state which one so be sure you get your bid posted on the one you really want. there is an 11:17 wed auction (offer #5) or thurs 5:22pm (offer #3)

I have placed a bid for both offer #5 and offer #3. Sorry it took me a while to get back.

All right, all right. I'll do it. Cotournix, please. I am thinking that if I get 6 doz. + then maybe the incubators will be so full that I won't possibly be able to bid on anything else. See how smart I am! Anyways, put me down for $20.00.

Actually, I think they could still carry one copy of the frizzle gene, causing the smooth feathering, but still carrying the gene? That's what I was told anyway...

2 copies of the frizzle gene causes feathers to break, so most frizzles have only one copy. So it should be if they look frizzled, they have the frizzle gene, and if they don't, they don't
