Yeah Im not a fan of it's flavor. You can need in extracts but you have to be careful of the moisture content as things can take longer to dry if you're modeling them. The other alternative is marzipan which is made with almonds. It's still not my cup of tea but DH adores it and fondant. He is English though

I've made a few wedding toppers for people out of a similar medium but you have to bake it at a much lower temp than recommended!

If I got a pig I would end up naming it and let it sleep in the house.

My children would not be pleased.

I prefer the taste of marzipan to fondant, and I'm not english! hehe. So you may like it, who knows?! I have never worked it except to use it as a filler between layers, so fondant may be the way to go if you are sculpting. I am not fond of sugar and I love nuts. I may be a little nuts, now that I think about it...

Thanks guys! I HIGHLY recommend you try it even if you think you might not be very good at it. I think you might be surprised!!!

wow! these are incredible! you definitely have a talent, not just for making things, but for visualizing etc (I can draw a picture well if I have something to copy, but can't come up with anything original like you have)
if you were in my area I'd totally order your cakes for my nephew's bday parties! and my own
