Crazy chicken lady in Montana!

I know!! Hoping it all melts away by the weekend. They are getting pretty big and crowded in their brooder so I don’t know if I should wait another week or two or just go for it and put the heat Lamp out there for a while
If you can stand them being inside a little longer, it would be best.
If you can't, a draft free coop and a heat source would be ok...at 4 weeks, their not fully feathered and can't regulate their temperature yet.

Ya im thinking next weekend might be better. They are just knocking their waterer and feeders over every day cause they fly around and land on them. And they are about 5.5 weeks old and seem so big to me already!!

Hello Montana neighbor! Welcome to BYC!! :frow

Are you tired of snow yet? I know I am!

Have you gotten your coop/run planned out yet?

If you have any interest, and have photos and plans/details of the coop you've built (or are going to build), there is a coop article contest going on right now! Here is a link:

Woohoo another Montanan who dug themselves out of a snow pit and rode their horse to town to find internet access!!

Yes the coop/run is ready and waiting for it to be warm enough to move into!
