They take up a lot less space, are mature in about 7 weeks, eat a lot less, lay eggs just about every day, are wonderful to eat and easy to process.

I've officially lost my mind, but I'd like the quail and I can offer:

They're in a mixed pen in these pictures, but the Silkies were moved to their own pen about 4 months ago, so the eggs are pure and the fertility's been tested with great success. They're all bearded, with the exception of one white hen (who's broody right now anyway and not laying)
