Crazy Egg Chain

I wish my silkies would stop trying to be broody and start laying eggs again. I got two hens fighting over 3 chicks, in essence I have 3 little chicks that have 2 momas. Crazy chickens. Gotta hand it to 'em between the two of them they are taking care of them pretty good.

Once they get a taste of motherhood it may be a curse, now they want to go broody one clutch after another. They cant get enough.

I have a silkie pullet that just started laying.......2 eggs later, she is broody, ugh, and she is not even sitting on her eggs.

Thats what mine did, not two weeks after they started laying..bam broody.

I got one out of about 15 that is laying but she only lays when she feels like it

I have 2 of 5 that are laying. One lays an egg every 3 days, the other has layed a total of maybe 2 eggs so far! Silly birds! I don't know how they can keep the population going, with them laying so infrequently, and wanting to be broody all the time!

my silkies will not go broody she had 30 eggs in with her she went to a different box then.... Sorry to be off topic siz8003
