In a few weeks I leave for a trip to mexico, and the area I'm going to has TONS of wild (but gorgeous) chickens. There's every single color, feather pattern, shape and size of mixed breed chickens you could ever want. There are eggs everywhere.........You see where this is going now  Anyways, I've researched traveling by air with hatching eggs and have concluded it's possible. What could go wrong? Are diseases an issue? These birds all look very healthy, prettier than mine :D pls don't be rude or mean, this is just an idea, 90% it won't happen, just want to see what would happen if i did this

Let's leave out the very real possibility you'd get into trouble at Customs, and consider the disease aspect.

There are some very serious avian viruses that can be passed from the hen into the fertilized egg. One is lymphoid leucosis. You need to think about whether or not you wish to take the chance of importing this virus into your future flock or your existing flock if you have chickens already.

I know I wouldn't want to take the chance of getting in trouble at Customs and I wouldn't want to risk bringing a deadly chicken virus home.
