That is a wonderful idea!!Why don’t you rehome your more aggressive ones and keep Eagle?
I will never keep aggressive roosters or allow them to breed if I intend to hatch out chicks.
Then you just get more aggressive roosters.
Keeping a few hens with him is a good idea until you can rehome the others.
Or you could put the aggressive ones in a batchelor pen where they can’t see the hens.
Then you can just have Eagle with the hens.


Thank youWelcome to BYC! I too would re-home the more aggressive ones. A good ratio is 10 hens per rooster. In their own flock they may be just fine though, but having 5 hormonal "teenagers" in a smaller flock is stressful for them and your pullets. You probably have enough pullets to try keeping two cockerels if there is more than one you like.
