crazy question I'm sure, but I don't really know

Okay this is our first set of chicks and I really don't know the answer to this question.

Before I ask Please don't think I'm crazy- lol

How many toes "things" of a chicken foot are there.

My chicks have 5 - are they all toes- what are they?
3 in the front and 2 in the back.

I really am laughing as I ask this, but I really don't know the answer.

i think some have four while other have five. i tink its depending on breed

Some breeds do have 5 front toes. Are they black and feather footed? If so they might be silkies

they are silkies- I didn't know they were different- good to know I don't have 3 crazy footed chicks
