It must be terrible to live in that much fear.  I feel sort of sorry for her - but she is not a good neighbor.  She sounds unbalanced.

My brother lives next to a similar neighbor, who has called the county and zoning on him at least 5 times last year - but my brother can't do anything about the harassment either. 

After awhile I would hope the people she is calling and telling stories to would learn SHE is the one with the problem - not you.  Perhaps you could write a rebuttal letter to the newspaper, giving facts about her harassment of you (the other side of the story).   If you put names, dates, results, who you talked to at the county, even her reporting your husband to the sherriff, when he was just trying to be nice ... maybe she will move elsewhere or leave you alone.

Talked to the newspaper reporter today, seems he didn't like that she lied to him at the county commissioner meeting earlier this month since he printed the lies, now they have to print a disclaimer and our side of the story, front page Wed's newspaper. Happy New Year!!

Ok make me laugh caption these photos, this is my chicken hating neighbor who keeps calling everyone possible to report our chickens just because she doesn't like them. She even made the front page of the newspaper with her made up nonsense.
