LOCAL NH PICK UP ONLY
I have available a few Cream Legbar cockerels. These cockerels are now 17weeks old. Some have very nice qualities that can be beneficial to adding to a Cream Legbar flock as well as some faults that can be still be worked with in a Cream Legbar breeding program.
,
I have been working with Cream Legbars for 2.5years and I am working towards the proposed Standard of Perfection. The results in the color cream in my flock still vary, some have cream that looks white while others have the preferred cream that is pale butter color. Some have great barring which is very nice to have to add to your flock. Some have straighter combs than others, straight combs are correct though floppy combs can be correct over time with proper breeding choices. Many have nice long backs, great distinct barring, nice white earlobes bright yellow legs, small crests etc.
Also if you don't raise/breed Cream Legbar but would like to add the BLUE egg gene to your flock these males might be the way to go. A Cream Legbar male paired with any white or brown egg layer will create Easter Eggers that lay blue and green eggs. Pair a Cream Legbar male with a Marans or any other DARK brown egg layer and you will get Olive Eggers that lay various shades of olive eggs.
I will post a few pics of some of my males and if you are interested You are welcome to email me with questions or to arrange pick up.
One male is $20
I am NH NPIP certified
Here is a little information on Cream Legbars
***Cream Legbars are an autosexing breed, meaning you can sex the males from the females at hatch. This breed is crested and lays blue-green eggs. Males are great with hens and good flock protectors and many males are good with people(though not all, some tend to get over protective). Females are great egg layers and on occasion can go broody and be good mothers though broodiness is not found too often within the breed.***
NOTE - I currently DO NOT have Cream Legbar pullets available. If you are only interested in pullets please do not PM me through this ad. It is likely that in about a month once I make my final breeding selection that I will make a new ad and have any extra pullets available. Continue to look for a new ad.
If you are interested in a Breeding pair or 2, a Trio or a quad, I might be able to arrange that also as I do have a few pullets that I will be culling from my flock..
