cream legbar crosses.. what to expect when crossing a cream legbar ro

Unfortunately we only have one Legbar cockerel. We had three 1 day olds but two did not make it but a few weeks. I have another contact who breeds them so we may just buy a couple of males from her. We are hatching barred rocks from the same breeder as we want to cross barred rock hens with our Welsumer roosters . Thank you for the u go. This is very helpful.

Jumping in here, I think I have this mix (blue silverudd and cream legbar) I know the farm I got her at has both breeds. I asked for another blue silverudd pullet and got her. But she has a crest and she had the little bar across her eye that the sex linked cream legbars have. She has the same colouring as my blue silverudd pullet.

She’s my youngest girl so I’ll still be waiting for my first egg from her. Not sure what colour it will be!

do you have a photo. yes, two of my crosses are the same blue color but larger comb and one has a crest other has like four feathers on her head. They both are slightly larger then the silverudds but smaller then the cream legbars i have. They lay the same color, cant tell the difference. I like the cross.

She has a smaller comb than my other silverudds so far. She’s very quiet, keeps to herself.

I was thinking about crossing this mix. What color eggs are you getting? Thanks!

Someone told me unless I breed to another barred chicken that all I would get is Roos. She (my cream legbar) was bred to my black Silkie Roo. I think I will keep one of the Roos and when he’s old enough breed him to one of my Splash Silkie girls.
That's literally not possible
