Cream legbar has a muff?!

This chick was sold to me as a cream legbar.

However, as it’s gotten older, it’s developing a muff! I’m pretty positive that cream legbars don’t have muffs - right? What could it be?

Might be a male EE. The tail feathers snd saddle feathers look a bit pointy and long, and the shoulders have a lot of red on them. However, I don’t see much comb growth or color.
