Cream Legbar Pictures

These are very pretty birds! I have heard that they are very rare. Some people also compare them to easter eggers and was wondering if this was true.
Hi chickenfinch---

IT would be nice if they were less rare. They are great birds.

They are like easter eggers in the sense that they have an ancestor that provided them with the blue-egg gene.

They are a bit smaller than easter eggers, have no muffs or beards, have straight combs not pea combs like most EEs, they have a crest and EEs don't....and there is a specific way to understand the composition of their breeding, where EEs have an unknown background for the most part. ===

Hope that helps highlight some of the differences.

Right now I have only 1 Cream Legbar, hes a boy. He was the only one to survive the hatch of bought eggs. I am awaiting a the arrival of a couple Cream Legbar girls in about 2 weeks. So excited!
Here are a few pics of my boy he is about 2 1/2 weeks old. Name undecided

Did you get your girls?
I did get 2 girls last week as day olds. Sadly one died the following day. So I have 1 girl that is a week old, Ill post pics of her soon. Does anyone know if bloodrings in eggs and death after hatch is common in Cream Legbars or maybe its just the stock they came from. The 2 Cream Legbars that died as chicks have been my only losses as chicks so I know its not how I am caring for them, I have raised many many chicks. I am definitely happy with the pair though. The males comb is not straight so I am a little diappointed about that, but they should grow to be beautful birds and I cant wait for the blue eggs to start coming
