Cream Legbar Pictures

Pics
We are already parched and brown from lack of water

I keep wondering how many chickens I could stuff in the back of my car when fire season rolls around...
Shoot, I did that same thing where there was a big wildfire -- Big pet carrier --how many chickens - The ranch dogs, the ranch cat -- and when the flames are on the horizon drive in the opposite direction ..that was my exit strategy. Good luck you guys - -hope the drought ends there soon. sol2go -- any chance to get some big fire breaks in place?

We have several acres abutting 2 canyons, I'm not sure there's a big enough firebreak. Maybe a flotilla in the pool?

Hope it never comes to that!

snapped a couple of pictures the pullets resulting from selective breeding last fall - I haven't put these in the breeding pen yet, waiting for them to fill out a little more - Very happy with how my flock is developing though, starting to get a nice consistency of coloring as well as shape/type

You have some very nice pullets there! I would love to see your adult Legbars from your breeding pens also if you ever find the time.

I love the length that your pullets are showing through the back and tail angles are nice. Combs and crests look to be a good size, not too large. One thing I will note is the red earlobes, they should be white as Im sure you know. Is that something you work on with in your breeding program or is it a future plan? Im not sure how many pullets are pictured, I was guessing two maybe 3 if the middle pic is a different pullet?

The pullets in the last 2 pics look to have a back that angles a bit upward or maybe its a cushion?

I really like the look of the middle picture pullet. I like her body and her length through her back low tail angle, her breast is nice and rounded and full, though Im not good at determining if keel length is good.

They all have nice hackle color, seems to be buttery cream, the salmon is vibrant almost rusty, maybe its the sunlight enhancing the color).

I would love to see more pictures of all your Legbars. Your pullets are nice, it would be nice to see what your doing to get where you are :)

I really like the colors on your flock, its a really nice balance and in my humble opinion thats where it should be. They are fabulous, I am sure the lobe issue can be fixed!
