Ok I just saw this. I'll snap a picture tomorrow. She gave me her first egg today!
This is by far the worst bird to snap a picture of. She never stops moving.
AKA Road Runner, I don't normally name them but this one doesn't stop moving.
7-8 months old.

Is it common for this breed to be skittish?

Greetings RoosterML,

The breed is described in online articles, as docile and calm, the hens can be a bit noisy. They are an English breed, fairly rare in the U.S. I could not find information on them in the Chicken Encyclopedia, by Gail Damerow.

I have three - two hens and a cockerel. I find them to be very active, but not any more than their Ameruacana and New Hampshire sisters. They do have a funny little, honking type sound they make. But, their personalities are so sweet. One of the pullets, Edwina Louisa, just loves to sit on my lap. My Ameruacana pullet, Lovey, is just as sweet and also loves to sit on my lap.

So, there are general descriptions for all breeds, and then, their is individual personalities that develop in the birds.
