I am sorry but I don't understand why you are mentioning Welsummers? The top two chicks are Legbar pullets. You believe the dark cockerel in the bottom 2 photos is my Legbar cockerel correct?seeing how Bielfelder and Welsummer male chicks look different from Legbars, I would say the Dark ones are Legbars with about 100% Certainty
I hope this is a test and you know the answer! I am going to go with Chick #1 as the Cream Legbar and the darker of the 2 being the Bielfelder!
No this is not a test. I really don't know who is who. The girls were easy to distinguish the Legbars from the Bielefelders. It is the Cockerels I am unsure of. These are chicks that were shipped in the same box shipping costs being what they are. They won't look the same when they mature so it will work out in the end. I am just hoping to not have to wait that long.I hope this is a test and you know the answer! I am going to go with Chick #1 as the Cream Legbar and the darker of the 2 being the Bielfelder!

From what I've heard you'll know as soon as they start eating and sizing up. The Bielefelders will take off like rockets in size and in food consumption.

Well, you will for sure have to keep us posted! Hopefully the CL boy is crested and you will start to see that come in in a few weeks.
The reason for my guess: Chick #1 has to my eye slightly greenish legs and I have seen this hue in several of the newly hatched CL chicks, the photo of the Bielfelder chick on the GFF website also has a similar darker greyish hue to yourChick #2, and the two CL girls have green leg bands and Cockerel #1 also has a green leg band making me wonder if they put that color band on every chick from that tray in the hatcher.
What color leg bands did Bielfelder pullets wear?
PS: I forgot to add: great chick photos--I have such a hard time getting good photos of chicks and tip my hat to all those folks that have the right touch. So well done!
PPS: Congrats on your new chicks!
