Cream Legbar Working Group: Standard of Perfection

Pics
Oh, no, Blackbirds13, I am having a hard time wanting to believe that a person has done this. Is there any way it could be a fox digging under (or even a rat)? Apologies to even question because I feel outraged that a person would stoop this low with thieving. I'd like to think some other answer is possible. If there is no other possible answer, as nature is tricky (but mankind I'm afraid trickier), I am sorry that you have been targeted like this.
Well, "someone" was trying to teach me a lesson they've been talking about for a while about how much I put of myself out there/here so I'm going to change up what I put out out there/here. This has really made me think about it in a different way.

SORRY this has taken so long. Take my review with a grain of salt- my CLs are only 12 weeks old. This is Hattie, who is in my opinion my best pullet. It looks like she is going through a juvie molt right now, so there are a lot of white fluff patches showing through.
Color-Female

Comb, Face, and Wattles: Bright red. Redchicken9: yes. lonnyandrinda: yes
Beak: Yellow. Redchicken9: yes. (mine horn, where this horn is coming from beats the heck out of me since both barred Rocks and Leghorns have yellow! Ok, black and golden duckwing and silver araucanas horn, for white it's yellow). lonnyandrinda: yes. Mine is more yellow than horn but this may change as she finishes growing.

Eyes: Reddish bay. Redchicken9: yes. However, looking at some pecking around me they do differ. Lonnyandrinda:Yes. Mine are still young but I think this is the color they have and the direction they are headed.

Ear-lobes: Enamel white. Redchicken9: yes. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Crest: Cream and gray, some chestnut permissible. Redchicken9: yes. (mine could be dark). Lonnyandrinda: Mine is darker than cream, but I definitely see the barring in it. Hoping to breed toward cream and gray.

Head: Cream, softly barred gray. Redchicken: yes, maybe, I don't know, mine are dark and golden. I looked at the neck description and at Amanda Rowe's girls in post 512 to make the language. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Neck: Hackles cream, softly barred gray. Redchicken9: Yes, for description. Lonnyandrinda: yes. Not sure that mine is going to be as cream as it should but it's a start.
Back and Shoulders: Grey, softly barred. Redchicken9: OK, look at post 512 where two hens are next each other feeding, some color difference here. This one above darker grey. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Tail: Silver-grey, faintly barred. Redchicken9: yes.

Wings: Bows : Silver gray, faintly barred. Redchicken9: Mine with speckled gold/rust. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Coverts: Silver-grey. Mine with a fair amount of gold/rust. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Primaries: Gray, peppered. Redchicken9: Yes. Lonnyandrinda: yes.
Secondaries: Very faintly barred. Redchicken9: Yes. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Above I have gold/rust peppering, which I think is in the secondaries, with the barring in the primary, but I will have to re-look later, so I'm not sure. Lonnyandrinda: yes.I see this peppering throughout the wings on mine as well. Not sure if this should be added or something we need to breed away from.

Breast: Salmon, well defined in outline. (ASP: Describes salmon as a medium shade of reddish ochre color used to describe the color of the breast of some breeds, e.g. Light Brown Leghorn females). Redchicken9: Yes. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Body and Fluff: Body: Silver-gray, with rather indistinct broad soft barrings. Lonnyandrinda: yes. Note: This picture below is not the same pullet as the other photos.

Fluff: (no BPS guidance) Gray (silver-grey, light grey?). Redchicken9: Yes. Although mine with fawn or tint. Please look at Amanda Rowe's hens, post 512. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Legs and Toes: Yellow. Redchicken9: yes. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Undercolor of all Sections: Silver-gray. Lonnyandrinda: yes.

Rinda,

I love Hattie...I think that you need to put her on a plane and send her over to me. (only kidding) some of the pictures remind me of exactly how Robin looked last spring. I was 'concerned' at one point because her tail was longer than 'Ice's' tail feathers. I even posted with alarm -- does anyone else have a female with longer tail feathers than the male? Ice is kind of petite I think because that son of his with the crooked comb is twice as big as his female sister at just about the same age. (born Sept 3). Ice and Robin stayed pretty much the same size growing up.

Hattie is a pretty pullet, I'm looking forward to watching her grow.

An insight to female Cream Legbar coloring----

on this website:
https://sites.google.com/site/creamlegbarsonline/gallery

look at the hen in the lower left corner of the Cream Legbars--- it reminds me of CJWaldon's hen in her avatar--- that hen's comb is like a red crown - which ties back to the picture of Kate (Duchess of Cambridge) Middleton in the red hat.

This is a great example of the proper color of CL's.

Walt, are you referring to a particular hen or to the ones identified as "correctly coloured"? I am of little brain and easily confused. :)

I am talking about all the birds labeled as correct color. A lot of the CL's I see posted have evidence of foreign color as shown in the off colored birds in this comparison.

For those of you who haven't seen it -- here is an interesting discussion on cream gold and silver. (Punnett).

Seems that the female is more likely to have cream and it is perhaps recessive.

http://www.ias.ac.in/jarch/jgenet/48/327.pdf

He had thought of caponizing a rooster to see if this would boost the incidence of the cream coloring -- (or should I say colouring) --- I don't think he ever did... Page 330 is where the discussion is.
