Cream Legbars

Even Jett is blessed as she's set for a lifetime in my mixed layer flock, as I can't in good conscience sell or even give her away. Plus I like the little brat. :)

edited to add: although there is one complication -- several of my layer flock's chicks look exactly like Cream Legbars. I suspect they're Jett x James (CL roo). I'll have to mark or band them somehow and keep them separate from my genuine CLs.

How adorable each and every one. BTW - they go through a punk-rocker look before their adult crests settle down. I think the one in the lower left is a favorite and I like the middle row bottom...

but then again I like them all.
I am enjoying watching them grow and change. I hope I can keep up with taking weekly photos until they are at least 12 weeks old. It should be very useful to help me select keepers in the future. Right now it is easy because I am still brooding them in my house. I don't mind them indoors for the first two weeks, but after that they need to go, lol!

Jett, the oldest non-laying Cream Legbar pullet in existence.
What a fooler. She's been laying all along.

However, she is not resigning from the Holding Out (non layers) Club.
She is being impeached.

Handy hint of the day: do not buy eBay eggs from cindylee53.
Oh my. I want to cry on your behalf.

I second the impeachment of Jett as President of the Holding Out Club. She will go down in history as one top notch pretender! Cider and Chocolate will take up the torch and lead it on. Of course they're 23 weeks so they might not hold positions too long lol...

So sorry A

I know you waited for her for so very long. She is still a beautiful bird and will be great in your layer flock!

OMG... that little scallywag. However, remember Blue egg genetics are dominant. She is so pretty after all. That Jett....."off to the egg-layer pen with you.".
