Cream Legbars

I have been looking for other examples of British Cream Legbars and kept turning up the Middle Farms examples. I finally found what I think are good examples of roos with tucked up wings but of course the website isn't allowing me to download any of them. Maybe this link has already been shared and old news, but for us noobies it at least gives another reference http://blue-eggs.co.uk/#/photos/4554699814

I really like the look of slide 7 of the first set. What do you guys think? Could this guy be used as a template for the breed like ChicKat suggested or am I way off?
I agreee #7's form is good. Maybe even better form is the painting that Nicalandia posted in another CL thread.... https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...oup-standard-of-perfection/1050#post_10648575 Post 1052

There is something about #7"s comb that is a bit imperfect, however, I think that the second picture is a different rooster because one legband is yellow and one is blue. Blue legband on right leg, ETA I had siad Yellow on left but it is also on right leg -- right? .

Nice painting in post 1052 Nicalandia--- thanks

ETA Maybe Mr. Lightbrown Leghorn in post 831 is the ideal form..... Maybe he should be the template?

I´ll post the pics for you...

I like him

I like this guy´s color, but I dont like his comb(4th pic of the same slide)
I think that site belongs to Sue S-C in England. You might want to ask her permission to post them, unless of course you already have.

Sue is here on byc and is also a member of the Cream Legbar Club.

Hi Normanack!

Do you know Sue's user name on BYC? How would we contact her?--I love her birds and it would be really helpful if she could post some pictures of what she thinks are ideal type Cream Legbars from her flock. It said that she didn't ship to the US and it didn't have any info on her and it failed to occur to me that someone in England would be in the Club over here. I'm glad there are folks from GB in the Club--now I'm really going to have to join! Thanks for your information!

That image has a copyright attached to it and is used by the artist on a variety of products. If this was a private discourse that would be one thing. Educational or not it should not be used here like this. You should post the web address only but this is considered reproduction and to wide an audience which is against copyright law. I'm a working artist and a teacher, I use artworks in my classroom but that's a closed environment this is a public forum - not the same. When it comes to artwork that is created from an idea and hand-wrought you have to be careful with copyright especially if the work is not meant to be disseminated or for public consumption without payment of some sort and these are products created by the artist for sale. Permission of the artist is best for such a public display or do it through PM. IMO of course.

Really good insights blackbirds13.

Diane Jacky is very generous with the ability of non-profits to use her work. She says it is ok with attribution from what she has emailed me. She charges a very reasonable fee for other use of her chicken illustrations - I think it is $10 per year.

HOWEVER - blackbirds13 is SO right - we should not in any way infringe on anyone's copyrights. Links & attribution are the best approach.

SO EXCITED THIS MORNING- I posted in December about the guy who was speeding down our street and took out a telephone pole, our fences, a tree, our flowerbed, and hit our house.... well many thanks to him, we are using the settlement from his insurance to put in a REAL DRIVEWAY- no more icky gravel for the kids to spread into the grass and throw, and no more ugly flagstones to trip up on our way up to the house!

The kids will finally have a place to play hopscotch, sidewalk chalk, and ride bikes, scooters, and skates... our street is not safe enough to let them out because of all the big trucks and speeders. Not to mention my then-2-year-old busted the back window out of my van last summer throwing gravel from the driveway and I am so glad that won't happen anymore!

Oh yeah this is the Cream Legbar thread... had a hatch this weekend, got 6 girls total and 4 boys total, love love love them they are so sweet! Some are mine and some are from a swap with GaryDean26.

Thanks Curtis!
