Cream Legbars

I took a few new pics of my new girls today. They are probably still too young to fully judge(10-12weeks old), but if they have any noticable faults you can let me know( I know their beaks and legs are a bit pale)

Also a few updated of my rooster he is 8 months old now( I know he has a bit too much color and a very messy comb)

Chicken pickin, your girls are lovely! Keep an eye on their breasts though. Your goal is a smooth salmon across the breast, and it may be the pic but I think I see a bit of black tipped feathering in there. If it is, don't despair. Just breed from the smoothest colored breasted girls until it doesn't show up anymore.

Looks like your boy has a nice light neck and hackles. Bred to your girls he should produce some cream offspring for you! If not, just breed the lightest best shaped boy back to one of the cream girls and your next generation will be nice and cream!

Keep the pics coming! I can't wait to see how your beautiful birds grow up!

Of note chickin pickin - Your rooster has a particularly good tail-angle.

Ill take a good look at their breasts tomorrow and see if the feathers are tipped.

What breed is this, if you don't mind me asking? I have a friend who is mentally challenged and raises chickens (his passion) and sells the eggs for income. He has 2 HUGE pens/coops with a variety of beautiful chickens!! However, he doesn't know what he has and he has quite a few that look like this. It would tickle him to know the breed.

Chicken pickin, I like the color of your cockerel. His tail angle looks high to me - a fault we are seeing in many birds. Tail angle is measured from the line of the back, not the ground. His comb is not great, which you already know. I would also at this age like to see him filling out more with a deeper chest, it may be he is standing more erect than normal due to the camera.

Thanks. I typed his age wrong he is 7 months. his tail is a tad high I know Im hoping the 2 pullets I just got will have low tail angles so hopefully the offspring will get a lower tail. How much more full should his chest be?

That also depends on who you talk to. While CL's are Leghorn based birds, they are based on old-time leghorns and not the modern ultrasleek models available. I am hoping for a good dual-purpose layer, and would like to see the chest fill in more and have the more rounded appearance of heavier breast meat. They are supposed to be solid and well-muscled.
