Cream Legbars

I offer to replace if they are culled for temperament. In this case the buyer had issues with a neighbor dog and had to confine her flock per her landlord. She had to downsize and no longer needed a guardian rooster.

I got my first egg from my CLs today!! I am ridiculously excited about it, too!

They are just under 23 weeks old and this egg weighed 36 grams.

It was not easy to capture the color of the shell with my camera. This is the best shot I got, and on my monitor at least, it is true to life. Have any photography geniuses out there figured out the best way to photograph CL eggs?

Well, I sent the #1 Hugger brother to TherryChicken and kept the #2 Hugger Brother in case I needed back-up for any of my other four boys that I have to work with.  Lol...

The one I kept is very sweet and dosen't have any mean bone in him, but as he matured the white on his earlobes disappeared to where they are nearly all red now.  I decided to go ahead and use him to offset high tail angles in one of my breeding groups and he prooved to be infertile.  Whew...gland I didn't sell a cull cockerel.

And this is why I try to keep a spare rooster. Hope my boys aren't infertile.

I will really look forward too seeing those pictures. You are doing such a wonderful job with your breeding program!

Im trying .

They are the wrong color but the form was nice . Im going to keep the really light one and see what he gives me. The reason i say and mainly think he looks exactly like the b and w photo is id bet hes the same age and with the same looking tail and form. I got a cpl shots of him but a tail is in the way and in one its at an angle. Today i should be selling the culls, 4 trios so when hes alone ill try again.

Good on you Rinda, that is a very nice looking bird. I have only one rooster that I would consider breeding right now, and until the 4 youths from GFF grow out I am pretty anxious about him. BF put the chickens up yesterday and left him out

! Said he would not go in the run. Guess he was waiting for me to come out in the rain in my bathrobe to put him up.

Congrats on new eggs! Blue can be very hard to capture - as I found with this experiment
