Cream Legbars

Your pullets are growing out so pretty Rinda!

We just back from Barnwell and had a blast. Lots of people came to our table, and we had over 50 entrants to our egg drawing!

Were you guys the ones that rehomed a few pullets tonight? Someone on another thread is super excited about her DH is bringing home 2 point of lay pullets from a poultry show.

I'll take a quick stab at it but this photo is kind of hard to evaluate as it isn't straight on the side. I can't evaluate his body type very well as I can't see if he has the correct "bottom line" along the front of his body. Also with the frostbite it's hard to evaluate his comb besides it looks a little too large. How many points did he have before the damage?

Good points: good leg and beak color, very nice barring in the body and tail, nice tail angle.

Bad points: He looks gold rather than cream, his comb seems too large, and I can't tell for sure but his earlobe seems to have a lot of red in it (it should be white/opaque).

so looking in the Marans pen today I am still guessing on the last two Cream Legbar females I put in there. Now with some bright sunshine they appear creamer than they did last weekend. If I can get another pen cleared maybe I'll dump them in there with one of the boys and see what pops up. Type wise they are really nice but they have me guessing still...... they do carry cream that's for sure but just not sure they are double as they just don't look as clean in the hackle...... See Curtis, still a newbie here with so much to learn. This is the problem I have with photos...they can not always give a true idea of color. Here she is
