Cream Legbars

Also I would like to mention, because I asked about it a while back. Don't be too quick to cull young cockerels and pullets that have yellow earlobes. I had a cockerel and a pullet that were on my automatic cull list due to yellow lobes (I specifically and personally don't want yellow lobes in my flock) Well I held on to the 2 of them so I could see how they mature. And as it happens as they reached about 6months of age they both showed the yellow vanishing. They now both have beautiful pure white earlobes. It may not be the case for all yellow lobed CL. But it can happen so it they otherwise look nice but have yellow lobes, wait to see how the earlobes might change as they mature.
This is great to hear. I think all 4 of my pullets have yellowish earlobes. They are all I have right now so I haven't been considering it a "real" problem yet. Since they are already 7 months I may not see it happen in mine though.

Woke up this morning to the sound of cheeping in the incubator. My first ever CCL chick made it safely out of the egg. I couldn't tell the gender yet, but I'm very excited and now I know for sure the parents are fertile.

My favorite little CL pullet seems to be missing

I couldn't find her at lock up last night(and she is never out of place, has never even left her fenced area).

Skimming the yard outside I still see no signs of her. I have no idea where should could have gone off too. I hope I can find her. She is showing very good potential and I was excited to put her with my main CL male come Spring.

Ill keep looking, heading outside now.

edited to add- I see no sign of her any where, I have looked all over. I fear something took her. I am really, really bummed right now.

oh no!!! That is a horrible feeling!! Fingers crossed she turns up!!!

Thank You everyone for the Welcome Home and Happy thoughts you all shared on her happy return. I was soooo glad to see her, I thought she was gone. DH who doesn't even like my chickens was a little worried for her too.

When I let the chickens out to free range today, my #2 CL pullet was following along behind me and kept stopping to squat down. I finally got behind her and she was laying an egg! Poor little thing must be a little bewildered by what is happening to her. I wish she would figure out the nest box! Same color as the first one, at least I know who is laying. I weighed this egg and it is 45 grams.
