Cream Legbars

The first one with a beard is a mix. She could likely have Cream Legbar in her mix due to the crest and the coloring. The second lighter one I cant see well enough to know if she is pure Cream Legbar or a CL mix, more pictures of her would help.

They are both female.

These 2 girls look like they could pass for pure Cream Legbar pullet. One thing that throws me is that they look like they have white ish pink legs which is incorrect for Cream Legbar, though it may just be the picture or my screen, CL are to have Yellow legs. If they have whitish or pinkish legs they are a mix. Was your source reliable for pure Cream Legbar?

No, I was at a local auction in Alabama, found them stuffed in a box in the back and thought thy were beautiful. I paid $1.25 for each, I just wanted to give them a good home.
My girls and I have called them our cheeta chicks, but had no idea what there breed was. Until the other day I saw a pic of a legbar.... I thought that looks like those pretty barn birds I brought home!?
I'm so happy to be able to put a breed to them! Thank you so much for your help and knowledge!!!

They are such pretty birds! Good find! :)

Being fairly new to chickens Im looking at this bird Bielefelder(sp) and thinking this looks an awful lot like a CLB roo with poor Cream genes.

My CLB boy looks an awful lot like this but he does have a crest. (if small)

I was looking at my girl from the same hatch and she is very gold.

I have two chicks that hatched yesterday. The mother is a creme legbar, the father is a white sizzle silkie. I was told several years ago on this thread that this cross would still produce a sex-linked chicks. Here are the pics and I would love all of your opinions on what you think the genders are

It's kinda hard to believe that these are both half creme legbars.

Try the sex linked thread . On silkies it is the black skin that is sex linked . I do not remember which way it works .https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/261208/sex-linked-information/1710#post_15580871 Also in that cross the cockerels will have the white head spot . The Legbar hen will pass baring to her sons only .
