I wish...I am searching for it. The predators and the 2 legged slime that broke into my pen of best birds made sure I would not this year.
~~~Hey, did you invest in some good quality padlocks yet~~~
Also until we get a series of shows where licensed judges have given input, it will always be what I think the CL should look like. Frankly, my view is no more valid than someone else's.
I will see if I can get some pictures from the board members. Now that I am an experienced Cream Legbar Club director, with one whole meeting under my belt, I am amazed how much work some of them have done for the legbar. They have constant behind the scenes work to push the Cream legbar ahead as a APA breed.
I have gotten ribbons and medals from them for the hopefully "qualifying" show here in Minnesota on October 28th and 29th.
Bantambird is coming from Montana to bring birds to the show. I am begging everyone I can to show a bird. We need birds to be shown now, any bird that is not disqualified, helps the breed.
Bantambird deserves all our thanks for that, with the needs of a young family and her responsibilities, to do this for the breed. She has an extremely good eye on these birds. Her opinion is always valued by me on a birds adherence to the SOP.
After the show we will have real pictures of the best birds here. For now, I think, going to the legbar club website and looking at the pictures of the online show winners will help give you the idea of the a good bird.
It is so hard to get that near perfect bird, and we will never all agree what that looks like. I even found there are board members the share my view on the large combs. Even those that don't have valid points supporting the large combs. I know this is a long reply and dodge to your post. Sorry.
I am just starting to get my snowbirds picked out and Into cages. I am having trouble because of winter trimmed combs and other things that happen as birds get older.
What I will do is get some pictures of some of mine and let you tear them down. Just know they will have no show prep on them yet this year. Afterwards we can talk about where we agree and disagree about what we see or want to see on that bird.
Is that ok? I am more comfortable with that over posting the perfect bird. Dean might have a picture to post, he really knows the SOP. I only read it 4-5 times a day, I think he does 20 times a day he knows it so well.
