Isn't that the truth!
Ok so this is the rooster

This is my other rooster that is smaller and has a crooked toeView attachment 1114538
Holy canoli! That is a bent toe!
Like his color, comb is way floppy, more than I like. He appears to have squirrel tail. Hopefully he gets more white in his earlobes.
I'd prefer he have more defined barring, but I do like how his hackles and saddles match up pretty well. He doesn't have too much Chestnut on his wings for sure.

His comb is really floppy, it was worse he just got over having dry pox and was not feeling well at all, he is improving so I think it might get better. But that toe!! Your right it's a bit much! I dont rememberlike that when he hatched or I would had fixed it.

That comb, tail and toe!!!! You picked the right one to keep.

I did not find that white area on the first rooster to be all that bad. I had to check mine and he has far worse white non barred area than yours does.

Too bad you can't pluck the feathers from the second one and transplant his feathers to the first one.

This was my guy he was everything I wanted except the bent comb (he had a big crest) and the half white tail feather
But
He was a total unttusworthy ass and I gave him away to ralphies chagrin

I do like that rooster, My least favorite part is his comb. but 1 nice bird.

I like the back on that one from the top, nice and wide. He still has a bad comb though:lau..

As far as the white on the tail feathers I wish mine only had that much........ These darn birds are strong n one place and weak in another. You would not think raising a perfect bird would be so hard.

Here's a good pic of a Cockerel

Now my guys tend to have a lot of Chestnut on their wing bows, but so far that's alright. I've worked on straight Combs with dicernable crests together for some time, and I've gotten pretty far on it. Notice the slope of the back, his length, and the angle of the tail to the back. 90° and higher is squirrel tail, which is undesirable. One thing my guys have is distinct barring, a factor of that too much Chestnut, I've heard, but can't confirm currently. My boys are probably closer to the golden crele end of the spectrum, but I'll work the color with tweaks over time, because confirmation is more important to me than color, although both are pretty darn important. He's got nice yellow legs, orange eyes, and pearly earlobes. He was a Cockerel in this pic, so that tail does get a bit bigger.
His comb is a bit of a mess, he had a chunk missing from the back, double points, and all that, but at least it is straight.
