You have a good looking group thereYour little Cockerel is going to love his harem!
This group that I hatched out in that picture all grew up to be golden crele, and nearly identical in color patterns. There were other differences, and perhaps the darkest downed male had slightly sharper contrast in his barring.Do they tend to grow out and stay lighter or darker, like their chick down?
(sorry, I've wanted CLs since I first got chickens several years ago, and I finally got to a point where I made room for them, so as much as I adore them, I'm still learning the specifics about them)
The cockerel is a real ham already. I love him!![]()

New here, just got our first Cream Legbar from some hatching eggs under a broody - we wanted to add a few colorful layers to our flock and thankfully one of the few that hatched was a Cream Legbar female (I think!). She is 12 days old now and so tiny, the other chick is a BCM so I don't have any other reference point for the size of a typical Cream Legbar chick - could I post a picture or two here and y'all tell me what you think, or is there a better place to ask? She is eating and drinking well and is very active, just want to be sure I am not missing something. Thanks in advance![]()
